With the cost of traditional energy sources rising & set to increase rapidly over the next 10 years, renewable energy can now be VERY cost effective.

We have seen the establishment of wind farms around our coasts & it is said that the cost of these will fall quickly. We are also seeing the adoption of many small-scale/domestic solar energy plants due in part to the ability to reduce electricity costs & earn money from any excess power generated.
